1) Pre-Dating Speed Dating at the University Club

$15 introductory price
Event is open to all UofL faculty and staff with a special introductory price of $15. Space is limited to the first 20 of each gender. Pre-registration is required. Pre-Dating is the world’s largest speed-dating service focused on single professionals and is a fun and efficient way to meet new people. You’ll meet up to a dozen other single professionals face-to-face in your age and interest group through a series of six-minute “Pre-Dates.”

At tomorrow’s Neuroscience Grand Rounds, the Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to have Barry Smith, MD, present, “Organizational Medicine: A Boon or Curse for Medical Practice?” Smith is an associate professor and interim chair, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Continuing education credit is available, and continental breakfast will be served.

3.) Discussion group leaders needed for ‘Explore More with Book-in-Common’
1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Aug. 23 SAC Multipurpose Room
“Explore More with Book-in-Common” is one of the six Signature CAPS Events all first-year students are expected to attend during Welcome Week. Students will discuss the BinC, “This I Believe,” in small, faculty/staff-led groups. We need at least 50 leaders. All leaders will receive a comprehensive facilitation guide, copy of the book and the opportunity to attend a brief training right before the event. Fill out the form to volunteer.
