1.) Skies Over Louisville: Summer Edition

Special UofL faculty, staff and student pricing. See below.
Join us for the summer edition of our monthly Skies Over Louisville live star and constellation presentation. Telescopes on the terrace with LAS follow, weather permitting. Top off the evening by staying for the Laser Beatles show at 9 p.m. Special pricing for UofL faculty, staff and students: $6 per person for one program, $11/person for two programs.

Whatever patrons wish to pay
Get ready for some dancing. The Red Barn Alumni Association and the Arts and Sciences Ambassador Program Red Barn 44th Year Reunion Concert features The Tymes Band with UofL’s own Craig Lush on drums. Admission is whatever you would like to donate to benefit UofL students and defray the cost of the event. Checks received are 100 percent tax deductible. 3.) Root Cellar to be on Belknap today
3 p.m. - 5 p.m. July 3 University Club Parking lot, Belknap Campus
The Root Cellar is bringing good-tasting, high-quality local food products to campus today, Wednesday, July 3, for walk-up purchases rather than Thursday because of the July 4 holiday. Produce could include blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, onions, dairy products, grains, syrups and meats. This program will run through mid-August.

4.) Faculty: Join your colleagues for a 4-session summer Book-in-Common Reading Circle
9 a.m. - 10 a.m. July 16, 23, 30 and Aug. 6 Delphi Center, Room 244, Ekstrom Library
The Delphi Center and First Year Initiatives are again co-sponsoring a weekly discussion of UofL’s 2013 - 2014 Book-in-Common, “This I Believe.” Join faculty colleagues for conversation and coffee as we reflect upon the book and consider ways we might integrate it into our teaching. The first 10 faculty who commit to attending three of the four sessions will receive their own copy of “This I Believe.” To participate, confirm by July 10.
