DID YOU KNOW?

The UofL Cardinal Bird, Louie, made 14 new friends this week when the other ACC school mascots came for a visit. Did you know our bird’s first costume was simply a cloth head worn by a UofL cheerleader in 1953? These days, Louie’s full-body costume weighs about 50 lbs., and the always-in-demand bird does everything from sky dive to keep up his own Twitter account, @LouietheCard.
