Information Technology

1.) Reminder: IT preventive maintenance occurs every Friday night

As the semester is now in full swing, please remember that Information Technology’s weekly preventive maintenance window is 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. every Friday night. During this time period, enterprise systems (e.g. Blackboard, email, wireless, instant messaging, PeopleSoft, SharePoint, ULink, voice and data services, etc.) may be offline for required maintenance. If you choose to work during this period, please note that systems may be taken offline without notice, and you may lose work. Complete information on preventive maintenance is available on IT’s website.

2.) Nominate faculty for Trustees Award

Nominations for the 2014 Trustees Award will be accepted from the University community until Feb. 20. The Trustees Award recognizes faculty members who have had an extraordinary impact on students’ college experience. Nomination instructions and forms may be obtained through any academic department or here.

3.) Resource 25 upgrade completed

The Resource 25 system update has been completed and the system is now available. Resource 25 viewer can be viewed at webviewer.collegenet.com/louisville. Remember to replace old links saved with the new URL address.

Goran Šimić, PhD, is an expert in the field of criminal law and transitional justice; lecturer, writer and fighter for human rights and rights of victims.  He is the founder and director of the NGO Association for Transitional Justice in Bosnia-Herzegovina.  He served as vice president of the Bosnia-Herzegovina governmental working group that developed a transitional justice strategy focused on building the foundations of a peaceful future. His lecture is sponsored by the Liberal Studies Project.
