This Friday, please join us for the 16th Annual Dr. Elliott Podoll Adolescent Medicine Lectureship featuring S. Todd Callahan, MD, MPH. Callahan is an associate professor of pediatrics and program director of eating disorders in the division of adolescent and young adult health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He will present “Update on Eating Disorders for the Pediatric Provider.” We hope to see you there.

6.) Schedule for 2014 UofL Baseball Winter Camps

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. various dates, Jim Patterson Stadium and indoor facilities

$100 per session; $25 discount off each additional session

Jan. 11 -- hitting camp; Jan. 12 -- pitcher/catcher/infielder defensive camp; Jan. 18 -- pitcher/catcher/infielder defensive camp; Jan. 19 -- hitting camp. Open to anyone in grades 1-12. 7.) School of Medicine Basic, Bridge and Collaborative Grant Programs

The SOM Research Committee administers the Basic, Bridge and Collaborative Matching Grant programs to provide faculty support. These awards have been increased up to $25,000 for basic, $40,000 for bridge and $50,000 for collaborative with $25,000 in matched funds. The next cycle’s submission deadline is Jan. 2.

After nearly 44 years, Jane Goldstein’s last day will be Dec 20. Although she has declined a party in her honor, she would love to hear from colleagues, former students and seminar participants. Jane has impacted so many of us on campus and in the community as a leader, mentor, counselor and friend. Let’s show her how much we appreciate her support and friendship over the years by filling her mailbox with memories and good wishes.
