On Saturday, the parking spaces between the Abell Building and Baxter 1 on the Health Sciences Center will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. Contractors need this area to accommodate a concrete truck for construction work on the west side of Baxter 1. Physical Plant will block parking spaces off with cones and/or barricades late Friday afternoon. This two-day event is open to all scientists, engineers and students from a variety of disciplines, including microtechnology, nanotechnology, nanomedicine, energy, advanced materials, MEMS, biotechnology and nano-education. This event promises to expand the awareness of core facilities that exist within the region and cultivate new research collaborations.
