3.) Forefront Online Protection External Spam Quarantine will be phased out Friday
On Friday evening, Aug. 16, IT will complete the transition away from the external spam email quarantine known as Forefront Online Protection. After this change, Outlook’s built-in Junk Mail features will be used instead of the external quarantine. With Junk Mail, you can set your own spam preferences, including lists for “safe senders” and “blocked senders.” The external Microsoft spam filtering system will continue to reduce unwanted email delivered to the university.

The Louisville Bats is helping raise money to support the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. $2 of each $10 ticket for this Sept. 1 night game will be donated back to the JGBCC. Participants also will receive a free Bats logo hat (choice of yellow or red), and can enjoy $1 hot dogs and soft drinks. You must mention JGBCC when making your reservation.

5.) Planetarium Cosmic Explorer Workshop: ‘Stories in the Sky’
2 p.m. Sept. 15 Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium
$20, members; $25, nonmembers
Ever look up at the sky and wonder how far away the stars actually are? “Stories in the Sky” is a beginner’s tour of the night sky, teaching families how to find favorite constellations, learn about our moon and maybe even spot the International Space Station. This fun, hands-on workshop is for 4- to 6-year-old children and their guardians.
