1.) Register for Nucleus’ LaunchIt
6 p.m. - 9 p.m. for 10 weeks starting Sept. 3, Nucleus conference room, 300 E. Market
Interested in commercializing your product or service, either through licensing or a startup? Nucleus’ LaunchIt entrepreneur training program will give you the tools to analyze the commercial potential and determine the appropriate business model. Tuition assistance will be provided to a limited number of applicants.

2.) Mammogram screening for UofL employees
8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sept. 27 Gottschalk Circle, Belknap Campus (next to Shumaker Research Building)
Insurance will be billed. UofL insurance covers 100 percent.
Is it time for your annual mammogram? The Kentucky Cancer Program and the UofL Women’s Center are pleased to bring the Mobile Mammography unit back to Belknap Campus. Insurance, Medicare or Medicaid will be billed. UofL insurance covers 100 percent. Mammograms provided by UofL Hospital and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Call 852-6318 to schedule your appointment.

3.) Personal/Small Group fitness training

$150
The Human Performance Lab’s Fitness Evaluation Program is now offering Personal/Semi-Private Fitness Training sessions. $150 for a complete fitness evaluation and four (4) personal/small group training sessions (30 - 40 minutes).

4.) State of the University apparel orders
Ordering deadline: Midnight, Aug. 23
The annual State of the University event will be Sept. 11 at 2:30 p.m. This is a formal event and apparel will be supplied for participants. Faculty, executive committee of the Staff Senate and unit student council presidents are to register and order apparel online. Even if you do not need apparel, we encourage you to register so we can provide you with information about the processional.

5.) Fall semester course reserves
Attention all Belknap Campus instructors. With fall term quickly approaching, now is the time to submit all course and electronic reserves. Please fill out the online form. If navigating from the main libraries Web page, choose Services then Course Reserve Request. Due to the volume of course reserve requests we receive, processing may take up to five days. Beat the rush and get yours in now.

6.) Faculty: Last chance to register! Explore how you can use UofL’s Book-in-Common in your teaching
Noon - 2 p.m. Aug. 15 Delphi Center, Ekstrom Library, Belknap Campus
This workshop will demonstrate how use of this year’s Book-in-Common selection, “This I Believe,” can engage students in reflection, integration and application around complex problems and concepts relevant to their everyday lives and to your course content. The first 20 participants who register and attend the session will receive a free copy of the book.
