Faculty, staff and students who stop by the Lighten Your Load store in Miller Hall April 26 and 29 can take donated items for free. The shop will be open from noon to 3 p.m. both days. Volunteers organized the event to recycle the goods students plan to leave behind during their end-of-semester move-out.

The Muhammad Ali Institute is kicking off the Mayor’s Give-a-Day, with the Ali Shuffle. Come out and volunteer, walk or run — and be a part of a movement across the city (literally) from the west end to downtown. We are “Connecting Communities One Step at a Time.” UofL employees who participate should sign up for the Get Healthy Now Moving Challenge. This would be a great opportunity to log some of those steps and beat UK.
