4.) Green Tip: Let your lab or office take the summer off, too
Headed off for a summer break, vacation or research trip? Don’t leave a huge carbon footprint in your wake! Take a few moments before you go to make sure your office or lab won’t be wasting energy while you’re away. Help us reduce our $1,000,000 monthly utility bill by turning off all lights, computers and equipment, setting thermostats warmer, shutting all windows tightly, and unplugging everything possible: empty refrigerators, chargers, coffeemakers and other non-essential equipment.
