1.) Sustainability Week concludes Thursday–Sunday
Don’t miss the biggest event the Sustainability Council has ever hosted. Thursday’s Campus Community Partnerships for Sustainability Conference will be the greatest gathering of campus sustainability leaders statewide. Friday’s free Sustainability Symposium features the brightest minds in environmental, social and economic responsibility (Strickler Hall, Room 101, sponsored by Liberal Studies Project & Biology). Bluegrass Bioneers will be packed with revolutionary ideas (free, Nov. 2–4, Strickler Hall).

Ramirez will present “Vaccinces for Adults,” focusing on reviewing current vaccine-preventable infections in adults, an overview of vaccine immunology and reviewing present indications for vaccines in adults. The UofL Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate the safety and dose response of an investigational drug used for high blood pressure. Children from 1 year to < 6 years of age diagnosed with high blood pressure may be eligible for participation. Subjects will be compensated for time/travel.
