3.) Low-waste, high-joy holidays
The holidays can be hard on your wallet and our planet. Save money, resources and the environment this season with a few simple steps. When you leave for the holidays, turn down thermostats, power down computers and unplug chargers, printers and equipment. Serve local, seasonal foods and consider low-impact, non-material gifts like memberships to fitness clubs; tickets to local performing arts; subscriptions to a CSA; or skill-building classes like UofL’s Lifelong Learning offerings.
