1.) Winter Cardinal Tennis Camp
Dec. 20–Dec. 23; Dec. 26–Dec. 31, 1 p.m.–5 p.m. daily, UofL Bass-Rudd Tennis Center
$40/Day
Coach Rex Ecarma invites juniors aged 7 to 18 to his Winter Cardinal Tennis Camp.

2.) UofL Baseball Winter Camps
9 a.m.–3 p.m. Jan. 12–13 and Jan. 19–20 Jim Patterson Stadium, Third and Central
$100 per session, $25 discount off each additional session.
UofL Baseball Winter Camps are open to anyone in grades 1–12. Spend a few days with the Cardinal coaches and players to help you get ready for your spring season.

3.) Environmental impact of emailing large files
We assume that e-communications are eco-friendly – no paper, no ink, no shipping supplies, no gas for transportation, etc. But it takes energy to move digital data, too. It’s estimated that emailing a 1.2MB attachment such as a large photo can use enough energy to boil 4 kettles of water. The information industry’s global carbon footprint now matches the airline industry’s. Rather than emailing large attachments, use file-sharing sites such as Blackboard, Flickr, DropBox or SharePoint.
