The Reynolds Building

Where loft dwellers now make omelets and cappuccino, men and women once toiled making cars and war supplies. The history of the Reynolds Building—as the University of Louisville Belknap Campus facility was known for almost 50 years—is the history of the 20th century.

Delivering Success

Metropolitan College was formed in 1998 to provide UPS with a reliable source of part-time employees to staff its new Louisville air hub. In return, the company offers those workers paid tuition at the University of Louisville and Jefferson Community and Technical College. For 10 years now, the vibrant partnership has been a success story for the community, the company and, most importantly, the students.

Meet RoboDoc

'Remote presence' robots, the latest advance in computer-based telemedicine, are helping University of Louisville physicians provide on-site expertise to hospitals across Kentucky without leaving Louisville. Eleven partner hospitals now use the robots, which have facilitated scores of consultations with UofL doctors since their introduction last year.

After the Injury

The Brothers Crawford—University of Louisville graduates Todd, Trey and Ryan—were busy pursuing their own educational paths in 2002. But priorities changed on a hot day in August of that year when a swimming accident left Todd paralyzed. The brothers now raise money for spinal cord research.
