Latrice Richardson (she/her/hers) is a Black actress, scholar, and playwright. She is a 3rd year MFA in Performance student at UofL. Latrice is from Elizabeth City, NC, and received her B.F.A. in Acting from the #1 public HBCU, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Her artistic work has focused on African American Theatre and her experiences as a Black woman growing up in America. Latrice performed In the Red and Brown Water at the National Black Theatre Festival (2017)and in The Unknown Project’s Journey to Freedom (2022). At UofL, she has played Raylynn Harris in Blood at the Root (2022), Olivia in Twelfth Night (2021),Mrs. Tiffany in [Re]Fashion (2021), and was an ensemble member in #Hashtag (2021). She was also a playwright and actress for UofL Repertory Company's Code Switch (2021). Her goal is to learn more about Black feminist theatre and how she can use her knowledge to create her own theatrical pieces to further advocate for the least protected demographic in America: the Black woman. She is thankful for the support from her family and friends. She credits God for all opportunities to learn and grow as an artist.
