About

Nick Willis is a 2nd year MFA in Performance student at UofL. While originally from Los Angeles, Nick spent most of his adolescent years in Fayetteville, Georgia. After graduating high school, he moved to Alabama, where he attended Troy University. Initially a Music major, it was only at the end of his sophomore year that Nick realized he wasn’t being artistically fulfilled. Heeding the advice of a few of his professors, Nick joined Troy’s Theatre Department and soon realized that he had found his artistic calling. Nick’s first onstage appearance was as Orpheus in Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice, and from that point on he knew there was no stop. He graduated cum laude from Troy, earning a B.S. in Communication Studies with a specialization in Theatre and a minor in Music Industry. Nick’s hobbies include playing various instruments, watching movies, and practically any outdoor activity. His goal is to inspire and help others find their own calling, and to support the development of fine arts programs for youth around the world. While at UofL, Nick has been in productions of Split Second (2021), Twelfth Night (2021), and Blood at the Root (2022). He is currently touring two Theatre for Young Audiences shows with the UofL Repertory Company. His next role is in the Spring 2023 production ofThe 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
