Darrin Mosley Jr is a 1st year MFA in Performance student at UofL. He graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2017 with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Theatre. He was a member of the Rock Dance Company, Afro-Colombian Dance Ensemble, and JamRock Hip Hop Dance Team. Darrin was a member of Attack Theatre’s teaching artist team in Propel Schools, and has taught with Weary Arts Group and Gemini Children’s Theater. Additionally, he was on staff as the hip-hop instructor for Dance Conservatory of Pittsburgh. His performance work spans both dance and theatre. He has performed with the following companies: Attack Theatre in Pittsburgh Opera’s Moby Dick (2018); Black Swan Ballet Company; Weary Arts Group (2017); the Pittsburgh Musical Theatre production of Newsies (2019); South Park Theater (2019); Steel City Shakespeare (2019); and the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. Darrin appeared in the short film series A Very Covid Christmas (2021), which received a silver Telly award for best remote production. Darrin also has worked behind the scenes as a member of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. He was the assistant stage manager for New Horizon Theatre Company’s production of Too Heavy For Your Pocket (2020), and the stage manager for New Horizon’s production of The Green Book (2022). This year, Darrin will perform in the UofL production of Gloria and assistant direct the UofL production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
