Keys to Success
UofL’s Keys to Success program provides students who have demonstrated financial and/or technological need with a laptop to succeed in their hybrid and online courses.
Who is eligible for the program?
- UofL Students enrolled in Spring 2021: This program is free to students who do not have an adequate computer of their own to use for their academic coursework. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements: undergraduate, degree-seeking, and enrolled for Spring 2021. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate a financial need.
- Students New to UofL in Fall 2021: For students starting at UofL in Fall 2021, this program will be invitation only. Students who meet eligibility requirements will receive an invitation via email.
How does it work?
Participants will be given a laptop computer to use for their coursework while enrolled in a UofL undergraduate program. After six semesters (fall and spring) of continuous enrollment (or if you graduate before that time) participants will be granted ownership of the laptop. For students who are chosen to participate, the laptop distribution will take place by appointment in the Belknap Academic Building.
How do I apply?
- UofL Students enrolled in Spring 2021: Complete the web application as soon as possible, as there are a limited number of laptops available. Please only apply if you do not have a computer of your own to use for your coursework, so students without computers can be prioritized. Be sure to check the minimum technology requirements of your unit as these laptops might not meet them.
Students New to UofL in Fall 2021: For students starting at UofL in Fall 2021, this program will be invitation only. Students who meet eligibility requirements will receive an invitation via email.
