The UofL Counseling Center has two 10-month Graduate Assistantship positions available for the 2019-2020 academic year. Both positions will consist of 20-hour work weeks at the UofL Counseling Center.

Eligible candidates for this assistantship must be currently enrolled in a clinically focused mental health graduate program at UofL, in good standing, and have successfully completed two years of practicum experience that entailed clinical mental health work under direct supervision.

Job description: Each Graduate Assistant is required to split their time between outreach duties and clinical service to the student population based on center needs. Outreach duties include co-coordinating the center’s outreach efforts and activities under the supervision of the center director. All requests for outreach programming are either fulfilled by these GA positions or they coordinate with the center’s licensed staff and practicum trainees to respond to outreach requests. Together, they also maintain the center’s social media accounts and sit on the Social Media Committee. Clinical service duties include seeing clients in individual and couples therapy under the direct supervision of a licensed staff member and, when possible, co-leading groups with a licensed staff member.

The graduate assistantship runs from August 1st, 2019 to May 31st, 2020 and adheres to University policy.
