First-Year Leadership Programs

Participants of TFF and LEAD

Student Involvement offers a number of leadership development opportunities to first-year students. Two of our most popular programs are Freshmen LEAD and Task Force Freshmen. However, in addition to these unique leadership opportunities, Student Involvement strives to connect first-year students to other leadership opportunities across our campus. Students interested in receiving up to date information about leadership programs and opportunities should join the Student Leadership Programs OrgSync portal, where we frequently post leadership application deadlines, links to leadership resources, and news items about leadership opportunities.

Freshmen LEAD and Task Force Freshmen are among our most popular leadership programs for first-year students. Freshmen LEAD is focused on relational leadership and community service. Task Force Freshmen strives to prepare students for roles in student government and gives participants an opportunity to create policy proposals, which ultimately could be selected for the Roosevelt Institute 10 Ideas program. Applications for both programs can be found on OrgSync and will open soon for the 2018-2019 school year.  Contact for more information.
