Housing Residents Mail Change

Beginning earlier this month, all UofL Campus Housing residents will pick up their mail from UofL Print and Mail Services Office located in room 119 West in the SAC. This includes envelope mail, packages, boxes, and other items delivered by all carriers. Moving forward, please use the mailing address below for all mail deliveries.

Enterprise CarShare Program Ending

Due to minimal utilization, the Enterprise CarShare program at the University of Louisville will end effective June 30. Please consider other modes of transportation to and from the University. More information about transportation options is available online.

UofL Dance Academy: Spring Performance

The University of Louisville Dance Academy presents its final performance of the 2018-2019 season. Tickets are $15 general admission, $5 for students and seniors 65+. Tickets are available at the door after 6:15pm on May 17 and 2:15pm on May 18.

Music in May: Sunday Showcase

Anyone can visit the Speed Art Museum for free on Sundays! Musicians from the University of Louisville School of Music will perform a selection of unique and eclectic set of folk tunes from around the world as part of the Sunday Showcase at the Speed Art Museum, Sunday, May  19, 2:00pm.

The Brass Band of Louisville performs in Comstock Concert Hall as part of the Music in May Festival and is an all-volunteer ensemble with members from the Kentuckiana area, many of whom are University of Louisville alumni. Sunday, May 19, 3pm, Comstock Hall, School of Music.

Music in May: Night at the Bats

The University of Louisville School of Music and Alumni Affairs presents a UofL evening at the Bats with performances by the Cardinal Marching Band at 6:00pm and during the 7th inning stretch. Alumni Affairs has purchased a block of tickets and will have a booth located at the stadium. The first pitch will be thrown by School of Music Dean Christopher Doane. Thursday, May 23, Slugger Field.

Garden Commons Summer Workdays

Join us in UofL's organic garden for our group workdays Fridays, 12pm-1pm! Learn (by doing) how to grow vegetables, herbs, and fruits! We'll gather together every Friday during the summer (through Aug. 16) at noon to harvest, weed, water, and plant. No prior experience necessary. Tools & gloves provided. Everyone who comes is welcome to share in the harvest!

Wind Band Institute: Chamber Winds Louisville

the musicians of the Louisville Concert Band and Chamber Winds Louisville enjoy sharing their enthusiasm for the performance of wind repertoire in all of its dimensions. Concerts typically include chamber music, solos with the ensemble, and full-cast concert band works. Wednesday, June 5, 8pm, Comstock Concert Hall, School of Music.

Cards Under the Stars - The Lego Movie: The Second Part

“The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part” will be the first film in UofL’s free, outdoor summer movie series. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 7 on the lawn between the Natural Sciences Building and Grawemeyer Hall. The film begins at sunset. Pre-movie activities include children’s inflatables and games. Concessions will be available for purchase. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnic baskets and coolers with snacks and drinks to make for a comfortable evening. Parking is available in the lot next to Grawemeyer Hall (2301 S. Third St.) and behind Ernst Hall (216 Eastern Parkway).

Health & Fitness

SRC Summer Memberships Available

Not taking classes this summer but want to use the SRC? Summer memberships are available to students who were enrolled in the spring or can show they are for the upcoming fall. The memberships are $50 from the IM Office weekdays between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Summer Classes at the SRC

Summer Group Fitness Classes began May 13. Variety of classes offered: Butts & Guts, various forms of Yoga, Cycling, HIIT (outside of the turf). All classes begin at 5PM or later. Complete schedule online. All classes are FREE and go through July 26.

New Outdoor Class at the SRC

NEW THIS SUMMER...a FREE OUTDOOR HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) class on the TURF field at the SRC. Every Tuesday 6-6:45PM, weather permitting, rain site inside rm. 200. Challenge yourself with a fun, upbeat total body workout. Class begins May 14. Website.
 

Intramural Sports

Sports Clubs in the Summer in the SRC

A number of Sports Clubs continue practices throughout the summer in the SRC. Fencing, all Martial Arts groups, and Badminton are available during the summer months with their regular schedules. Check our website for contact information and practice times.
