Attend Class
President Bendapudi has emphasized the importance of going to class and the university will be celebrating students who attend all their class sessions for the first six weeks of the semester. Start your semester off right by going to class and save the date of September 30 from 3–5pm to be recognized for going to all your classes.

Ekstrom’s 3rd Floor Reno Nearly Complete
The bulk of construction on Ekstrom’s 3rd floor will be finished in early September. Look for modern study areas, better lighting, and a new wall of windows. Upgrades to REACH and the Digital Media Suite on the first floor are nearly complete. Blog

Accommodations for Pregnant Students
Students who are pregnant or have recently become parents may be entitled to academic accommodations. Title IX prohibits UofL from discriminating against its students on the basis of sex, which includes the obligation to provide reasonable accommodations to students whose academic progress may be adversely affected by a pregnancy or the birth of a child. Academic accommodations depend on each student’s circumstances. Kentucky Conference on Leadership and Diversity
There is an incredible lineup of speakers including Olympian and Keynote Speaker Tamika Catchings. Topics of discussion will include leadership development, women in leadership, diversity in the workforce, disability awareness in the workplace, and more. Tachau Essay Contest for UofL Students
