Free Concerts in Old Louisville

Old Louisville LIVE free concerts in Central Park this Friday, April 27 and Friday, May 11? The April 27 concert features The Louisville Crashers 8-11 pm. The May 11 concert features Brutally Handsome, an Eagles Tribute Band 8-11 pm. There will be food and drink available for purchase.
 

SRC Summer Hours of Operation

The Student Recreation Center will operate under a modified schedule for the summer. The center will be open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM weekdays, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays, and 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sundays. The schedule has begun and is in effect now.

Summer SRC ID Validations

If you are not taking any summer classes but were enrolled in the spring or can show proof of registration for the upcoming fall semester, you may purchase a summer validation. Validations are $50 and are available in the Intramural Office (in the SRC) weekdays 8-5.

Road Closures Around Campus Saturday for KDF Marathon/Mini-Marathon

The Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon/Mini-Marathon is Saturday, April 28 beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continuing throughout much of the morning. The race will cause road closures around the city, including 3rd Street and 4th Street through the Belknap Campus, and West Broadway on the HSC Campus. A map of the race routes is available online. Directions for Getting Around 3rd and 4th Sts.:
East to West
• 65 N to 64 W
• 64 W to 9th St., 9th will turn into 7th St.
• Turn left on W Shipp Ave. which will become W Lee St. (you will not be able to drive on 3rd or 4th Sts.)
West to East
•  Take 9th St. to 64 E and get off at Story Ave.
•  Take first left onto N Spring St.
•  Take first left onto Melwood Ave.
•  Go under interstate and turn left onto Frankfort Ave.
•  Turn left on Story Ave. and immediately get on 64 W
•  Follow signs to 65 S
•  Get off at Arthur St. then come in on the East side of campus
