1. Voter Registration Deadline October 11

Last Day to Register to vote is October 11.  Register on line at govoteky.com OR pick up a card at The Election Center on 701 W. Ormsby Ave, Suite 301. It must be received by October 11 and mailed to State Board of Elections 140 Walnut St. Frankfort, KY 40601. On October 11, you can also look for volunteers around campus who will help you register on line. 2. IronMan Street Closures and No Parking Areas

The Ironman Triathlon takes place on Sunday, October 9, 2016. There will be street closures and no parking areas around Louisville. For more information go to: http://louisville.edu/student/news/ironman

3. Shuttle Service Not Available Oct 14

Shuttle service to the Cardinal Station building will not be available Friday, Oct 14. This is a football game day. Parking at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium will be closed to students on this day. This parking will be relocated to the fairgrounds.  So the shuttle will pick up students at the fairgrounds but will not make its usual stop on Central Ave. outside of the building.

4. Student Grievance Officer

Any students who believe they have been treated unfairly, discriminated against, or have had their rights abridged may initiate a grievance within one year from the event giving rise to the complaint. http://louisville.edu/dos/help/studentgrievance

5. The 2017-2018 FAFSA is now available!

The 2017-2018 FAFSA will once again use the 2015 tax information as was required for last year’s FAFSA. Don’t be alarmed, this is intentional! You will not have to estimate income and most people completing the FAFSA will be able to use IRS Data Retrieval Tool to import tax and earnings information from the IRS database. Before You Complete Your FAFSA:  Gather your 2015 Federal Tax Return, which was filed by April 17, 2016, or use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA. Collect other financial information such as current bank statements and asset information. Have your U.S. Department of Education Federal Student Aid ID (FSAID) available to sign your FAFSA. Visit fsaid.ed.gov  if you need an FSAID or have forgotten yours. 11. Ice Hockey Club Faces Miami of Ohio

The Ice Hockey Club takes on Miami of Ohio Friday night October 7 at Iceland Arena. First puck drops at 8:00pm. Student tickets are only $5.00 with student ID. Dress warm and support the IceCards as they take on the Red Hawks.  cardsicehockey.com

12. Fright Light Laser Light Music Show

13. Men's Rugby Takes On Cincinnati Saturday

20. Dramatic Solar Eclipse of 2017

Solar eclipse of 2017 to be discussed by NASA astrophysicist and eclipse expert, Fred Espenak,  aka “Mr. Eclipse” on Thursday, October 13, 2016.  Students can talk one-on-one with the scientist at 4 p.m. in Rauch Planetarium, followed by the free 2016 Bullitt lecture in astronomy at 6:30 p.m. in the School of Music at Comstock Hall. Q. I saw they’re tearing the service annex down for the expansion of the SAC. Where is PEACC and Health Promotion now?
