1. Thanksgiving Hours for SRC & HSC Fitness Center

The SRC and HSC Fitness Center will both close at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, November 23. Both facilities will be closed until Monday, November 28 at 6:00 AM. We hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Break.

2. SAC and Red Barn Thanksgiving Hours

SAC & Red Barn will be open from 7 AM until Noon on Wed, Nov 23 and will be closed on Thurs, Nov 24 through Sun, Nov 27. They will reopen on regularly scheduled hours on Mon, Nov 28 at 7 AM.  louisville.edu/studentactivities

3. Make Sure to End This Semester Successfully!

The semester is almost over. You’re facing exams, last papers due, and possibly a move. Looking back, what have you done that has helped you be successful this semester? Do more of that during this crunch time. If you are experiencing distress because of how your semester is ending, there are several resources that might be helpful. If you don’t know where to turn, contact the Dean of Students Office at 852-5787 or dos@louisville.edu.

5. Tell Us About Your Favorite Faculty Member

Submit a fall 2016 Faculty Favorite nomination to tell us who made a difference in your learning this semester. The nomination period closes Sunday, December 18, 2016. Submit your nomination online at http://uofl.me/2fIMBcT.
 

6. Ice Hockey Club Hosts Akron This Weekend

The Ice Hockey Club will host Akron for a conference doubleheader this Friday at 8:00pm and Saturday at 2:30pm at Iceland Arena. Tickets are $5.00 with student ID at the door.

7. UofL Campus Blood Drives Supporting RaiseRED

Save a life.Give Blood. Support RasieRED. KY Blood Center will donate $5 for every donor who mentions RaiseRED. SRC Room 110.

8. Black-Light Zumbathon

Black-Light Zumbathon is a Free Women 4 Women Student Board program. Black Light Zumbathon will be Held on November 28, 2016 from 6-8p in the Red Barn. TWO-HOURS OF ZUMBA AND IT'S FREE! RSVP: womenctr@louisville.edu
White and Neon Clothes are suggested.
 

9. Buy Local! UofL Farmers Market Holiday Bazaar

UofL will hold a Holiday Bazaar Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 12-3 p.m. at the Red Barn. Featuring locally-grown & handmade holiday gifts from more than a dozen UofL Farmers Market vendors & local artisans. Find honey, granola, jam, pickles, produce, desserts, kettle corn, lotion & lip balm, soap, purses & jewelry, wreaths, décor  Mark’s Feed Store and door prizes!
 

10. Vinyasa Yoga at Speed School

11. Toys for Kids Basketball Tournament

Toys for the kids 2 on 2 Basketball Tournament hosted by Cory "Sauce" Brown. Dec. 3, play begins at 1:30 PM at the SRC, $15 entry fee per team of 3. Winning team will receive Visa Gift Card. All proceeds will go to Kosair Children's Hospital.

12. Institute Funds Alzheimer's Awareness Plate

Under a grant from the Institute, the $25 application fee for an “End Alz” license plate will be now waived for the remaining applications needed to reach the required 900 for issuance of license plates. 13. Mr. / Ms. Cardinal Applications Available

Each year UofL bestows an award to an outstanding senior man and woman. Interested students are urged to apply for this award. Applications can be found at: orgsync.com/60508/forms/229089 Deadline for this is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29.

CYCLISTS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO:

  • Stop at all stop signs and red lights.
  • Signal turns and lane changes by hand.
  • Bear as far right in far right lane as is safe and practical.
  • Pass on the left and make turns from the appropriate lane, unless in an established bike lane.
