ULCC Fall Wellness FairThe UofL Counseling Center presents our annual Fall Wellness Fair on October 24, from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Red Barn. IMPORTANT INFORMATIONFAFSA Time is ComingThough historically available October 1 for the upcoming award year, the 2024-25 FAFSA will not be made available by the U.S. Department of Education until sometime in December 2023. The delay is due to major changes and improvements coming to the 2024-25 FAFSA, which will result in a more streamlined application process with fewer questions and expand eligibility for federal student aid. Visit UofL’s 2024-2025 FAFSA Simplification Act website for additional information on how the application process is changing. Drug Free Schools and Communities Amendment Act of 1989As a requirement of the Federal Drug Free Schools and Communities Amendment Act, the University of Louisville is responsible for compiling and ensuring the distribution and receipt of the university’s policies, sanctions, and resources regarding alcohol and other drug (AOD) use to all students on a yearly basis. WHAT'S HAPPENINGPrayer Spaces Available for Healing and PrayingPrayer spaces are available for healing and prayer in the wake of the violence worldwide. During the week of October 23, 2023, the Baptist Campus Ministry building has a room upstairs that will be available Monday to Friday from 12pm-2pm. In the InterFaith Center, several spaces are available for prayer and meditation, including the designated mediation room, adoration chapel upstairs, and large chapel. The chapel/multipurpose room will be available from Monday-Thursday, 1pm-5:30pm, and 1pm-2:30pm on Friday. The designated mediation room and adoration chapel upstairs are available when the InterFaith Center is open.
Vigil Planned for This WeekAll students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend a vigil sponsored by the Religious Life Association. This is in remembrance of those impacted by the worldwide violence that has taken place recently. Thursday, Oct. 26 at 5:30pm in front of Grawmeyer Hall. Rain location will be in Humanities Room 100.
