Notice of data breachEducational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI), the University of Louisville’s tuition tax form vendor, informed the UofL Bursar’s Office that ECSI was the target of a data breach which may have exposed personal data of some current and former students who received a Form 1098-E or Form 1098-T. Twenty-five students whose social security numbers were exposed have been notified by both the university and ECSI, and ECSI will provide the option for free credit/ID monitoring to those individuals. No university systems were impacted by this incident. Nevertheless, the university will continue to review policies and procedures both on campus and among our various
vendors, to protect your information.
If you have issues accessing your 1098-T or 1098-E tax forms or have questions related to the breach, contact ECSI directly.
