Entrance Exam Instructions
The SPI Entrance Exam has 2 options available for testing:
1. In person at UL Testing Services for local candidates (Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm) $35
2. Zoom virtual option with UL Testing Services during office hours only (Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm) $35
The virtual option is an online exam that you can take from home or in any undisturbed office environment using a webcam/microphone.
To register, go to U of L’s Testing Services website at www.louisville.edu/testing and click on Schedule Exam Here button.
Group: Select “Southern Police Institute Exam”
Exam: Select the option you would like to use to test
Test fees must be paid at time of registration with a debit/credit card on the registration system and are non-refundable. Please make sure you are registering for the correct option!
ZOOM candidates: If you can’t find a convenient date/time to test virtually, please contact Testing Services at 502-852-6606 to set up an appointment.
After completing the exam you will receive your score. SPI requires at least a 250 on the Reading Accuplacer exam. SPI will contact you to if you receive a score lower than 250.
