YVPRC Wins Awards for “Pride, Peace, Prevention” Campaign
The Louisville Chapter of the American Advertising Federation hosted the 2019 ADDY Awards which has recognized outstanding creative work in the areas of marketing and advertising for the past 45 years. Over 250 people attended the event, which took place on Thursday, February 28. Out of 366 entries from 22 local companies, agencies, and schools, 100+ awards were distributed.
The UofL Youth Violence Prevention Research Center (YVPRC) took home four awards for its work with Bill Bossier and Renaissance Creative Group, LLC for the Pride, Peace, Prevention campaign. Gabe Jones, MPH, doctoral candidate and graduate research assistant in the Department of Health Behavior and Promotion, is featured in the “All We Want is Peace” song and television commercial campaign.
Culturally Legit, Local Only Award Winner -- YVPRC “All We Want is Peace” Video (UofL Youth Violence Prevention Research Center). This is the second year running that the campaign has taken home the Culturally Legit Addy Award.
Gold-Level ADDY Award Winner -- YVPRC Sound Jones (Local Television Commercial Campaign)
Judge's Choice, Special ADDY Award Winner -- YVPRC Sound Jones (Local Television Commercial Campaign)
Silver-Level ADDY Award Winner -- UofL YVPRC (Out-Of-Home Campaign). The Out-of-Home campaign went on to compete at the District 5 level against other advertising clubs in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia and received silver.
