Trinidad Jackson, M.S., M.P.H., awarded 3rd place for a poster presentation

This month marks the second anniversary for the Office of Public Health Practice (OPHP). Since it opened, office staffers have worked diligently to establish meaningful community connections that aid in facilitating learning, practice, and research prioritized by community stakeholders.

Recently, Ryan Combs, Ph.D., Assistant Professor; Monique Ingram, M.P.H., Director; Trinidad Jackson, M.S., M.P.H., Senior Research Associate; and Aubrey Williams, B.A., Program Coordinator went on the road to attend the Community-Campus Partnerships for Health 14th International Conference held May 11-14 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The theme of the conference was Journey to Justice: Creating Change through Partnerships.

OPHP presented qualitative data captured through community listening sessions and Photovoice projects. This data is essential for projecting the community’s voice, and further, contextualizing the abundant quantitative data used in decision making at organizational, community, and policy levels.
