PhD student Clara Sears, MS, on the presentation of posters at the Society of Epidemiologic Research 48^th Annual Meeting held in Denver, Colorado, in June.

Qunwei Zhang, MD, MPH, PhD, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, has published a manuscript entitled “Relationships between number, surface area, and mass concentrations of different nanoparticles in workplaces” in Environmental Science: Processes & Impacts. Jelani Kerr, PhD, Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences, has published an article in AIDS and Behavior entitled “Neighborhood Condition and Geographic Locale in Assessing HIV/STI Risk Among African American Adolescents”. Find the article online.

David Tollerud, MD, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, chaired the IOM Committee on the Management of the Air Force Health Study Data and Specimens-Report to Congress. The report, The Air Force Health Study Assets Research Program, was released/presented to the Committee on Veterans Affairs, Congress, Senate and the public on April 16-17 in Washington, DC. The report will confirm the value of the Air Force Health Study assets and support their continued use in new research for the benefit of veterans and the general population.
