Baked Apples

Ingredients: (for 1 apple)

  • 1 medium green apple
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • Cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Using a small knife, paring knife or apple corer, cut around the core, but not all the way through. You want to create a small “bowl” in the middle of the apple for the ingredients.
  3. In the “apple bowl,” pack in your brown sugar and butter.
  4. Place apple on baking sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Bake for 15 min.
  6. Serve in a bowl due to the butter running. Serve as is or cut into slices.

*You can get creative with the recipe! Use any apple variety. Top with nuts, honey, whipped cream and/or granola.
