"Statistical methods for complex longitudinal data"
In this talk, I will introduce two longitudinal studies, one in neurocysticercosis treatment and one in HIV surveillance. Focusing on scientific questions and data complexities, I will show the proposed statistical models and methods. Topics such as 1) multi-state model with missing not at random (MNAR) and clustering, and 2) random change-point model with segmented NLME will be covered where the computational approaches like MCEM (Monte Carlo EM) and StEM (Stochastic version of EM) will be discussed and compared.
