Title: "Study Design and Statistical Analysis Options for Cluster Randomized Trials: Examples Based on the Proposed HEALing Communities Study - Kentucky"

Sixteen Kentucky counties are part of the HEALing Communities Study, which is a study that is targeting a 40 percent reduction in opioid-related overdose deaths. As the intervention, and hence randomization, will be at the community level, this is a unique cluster trial with rare events, large cluster sizes, and multiple constraints to consider. In this talk, we introduce possible study design and statistical analysis options for such a cluster randomized trial. Furthermore, we discuss decisions made for the proposed study.
