"An Introduction to High Performance Computing at UofL"

In this talk, we will illustrate the Cardinal Research Cluster (CRC) as a computing resource for faculty, students, and researchers with the University of Louisville. We will briefly introduce cluster and its characteristics, outline the steps for acquiring a cluster account and the software necessary for cluster access, go through an example to demonstrate how the cluster can be used as a computing resource, and discuss some rules and tips for using the cluster.  The seminar will be interactive and will show a live demonstration of the CRC.

NOTE: The speaker is not a representative of the CRC and does not speak on behalf of the CRC.  The purpose of the seminar is merely to introduce the CRC and highlight a particular type of usage.
