M.S. Part-Time Sample Course Map

Below is an example of a course map for part-time students. This is only a sample course map, and is a plan that completes the M.S. degree in 4 years. There is much flexibility in course plans for part-time students, and course maps can be developed for students wanting to complete in any duration up to 6 years.

Please note that nearly all of our courses are offered in a single semester (Fall only or Spring only) and that their are rigid, in-program prerequisites for many of our classes, (e.g.) PHST 683 has PHST 662 as a prerequisite, which in turn has PHST 661 as a prerequisite. As such, deviations from planned courses of study can have significant implications, particularly on the duration of study in the MS.
