Center for Ergonomics

Description

The Center for Ergonomics is an associated unit of the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Louisville. The Center's mission is to support local, regional, and state industry. The Center's research and educational activities promote a systems approach to integrating people, information and technology into efficient organizational processes, for the purpose of improved quality, safety and user satifaction. Examples of training and assessments available through the Center include:

    • workplace design
    • ergonomics audits, including office ergonomics
    • ergonomics training, including training for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (low back and upper extremities)
    • work measurement
    • system and product usability testing
    • other customized training (organization specificed)
