ME doctoral student and faculty member give television interview on their research

Mechanical Engineering doctoral student Zdravko Salipur and faculty member Dr. Karen Frost were featured in an interview with WHAS television reporter Renee Murphy where they described their research on wheelchair safety in public transportation. The interview is available as a featured video on the WHAS-11 website.

Dr. Frost is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Zdravko Salipur is a Mechanical Engineering doctoral student and recipient of a National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) Mary Switzer research fellowship. Dr. Frost is co-principal investigator on the NIDRR Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Wheelchair Transportation Safety project that has provided funding for this research. In addition to NIDRR, the work is being supported by the Transit Authority of River City (TARC). It is being performed through the UofL/ME Injury Risk Assessment and Prevention (iRAP) Laboratory.
