Brent Stucker gives keynote address at the Engineering Lean and Six Sigma Conference

Dr. Brent Stucker  gave the lunchtime kenote address at the Engineering Lean and Six Sigma conference. He overviewed the state-of-the-art in Additive Manufacturing Technologies and reviewed how these technologies change engineering design, entrepreneurship, product innovation, logistics and lean manufacturing.  He also briefly discussed the current manufacturing climate in the USA and around the world and how additive manufacturing is perceived as a key technology for future technological advances and economic stimulation.

The annual Engineering Lean and Six Sigma conference explores the application and theory of lean and Six Sigma from its historical development to its current application. Held at the Seelbach Hilton in Louisville, KY from October 1-3, 2012, this three-day conference brought together the practitioners and the researchers to share the successes and identify the opportunities for applying proven tools and methods. The Logistics and Distribution Institute (LoDI) at the University of Louisville was a sponsor of the conference.
