Driving Instructions to UofL's ECE Department

Directions and maps showing driving directions to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

The University of Louisville Belknap campus is located approximately 4 miles south of downtown Louisville along interstate 65. If you are using an online map engine (see below for links) for driving instructions, you only need the zip code, 40217, for Belknap campus.

 Driving directions traveling south on I-65:
 
Take I-65 to the second Arthur Street exit (Exit 133 - Alt.60/Eastern Parkway).
Go straight through the first traffic light (Warnock Street, BP filling station on right side). Also, stay to the right of the I-65 entrance ramp at this intersection.
Go south one more block to Eastern Parkway and turn right (west).
Proceed to the next traffic light.
The Speed school will be on the left-hand side of Eastern Parkway.

 Driving directions traveling north on I-65:
 
Take I-65 to the second Eastern Parkway exit (Exit 133B - J.B. Speed Museum).
Loop around to Eastern Parkway using East Warnock and Crittenden Drive.
Turn right (west) on Eastern Parkway (Denny's restaurant is at this intersection).
You will pass under I-65; proceed to the next traffic light.
The Speed school will be on the left-hand side of Eastern Parkway.

 Visitor Parking:
 Park in the circle located in front of the J.B Speed Building. See office 214 in the J.B. Speed building for a visitor parking permit. If no parking space is available, proceed west on eastern parkway to S. 3rd Street, turn right (north) on 3rd St. and enter at the first campus entrance (first right), see the visitor center for a parking permit and directions to other visitor parking lots. Department Office:
 The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department office is located in W.S. Speed Hall, Room 200.

Traffic on I-65 is usually most severe between 7:30-9:00 AM (07:30-09:00) and 4:30-5:45 PM (16:30-17:45).
