  • Matt Fuller, Kyle Hord and Kyle Schmidt will present at the Kentucky Innovation/Entrepreneurship Conference held at Lexington on April 6th, 2009.
  • Tim Broering and Kyle Hord will present at the 35th Dayton-Cincinnati Aerospace Sciences Symposium.
  • Drs. Patrick Hu and Ramji Kamakoti from Advanced Dynamics visited our lab on Jan 28th, 2009.
  • Tim Broering's paper was presented at the 48th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting (Jan 2010). The title of his paper is Numerical Study of  Two Flapping Airfoils in Tandem Configuration.
  • Justin (Mu-Heng) Zhang joined the group (Nov, 2009).  He got his Bachelor and Master degrees from TongJi University, P.R. China. Justin also won the distinguished University Fellowship from the University of Louisville.
  • Professor David Williams from Illinois Institute of Technology visited our lab on  Nov. 19th, 2009.
  • Professor Suzanne Weaver Smith from the University of Kentucky visited our lab on Nov. 5th, 2009.
  • Kyle Schmidt won the 2009 Kentucky NSF EPSCoR Research Scholar (Oct 10, 2009). Congratulations to Kyle.
  • Russel Prater joined the lab (Oct 1, 2009).  Russ is a native of Louisville.  His research topic is free flight aerodynamics.
  • Dr. Williams Henshaw from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, California) visited the lab during Sep 16th-18th, 2009.
  • Kyle Schmidt joined the group (May 7, 2009).  A resident of Wyoming, finished his bachelor study in 2009. He will work for his Master degree. His research topic is micro-channel simulation, a joint project with researchers from ECE department. Kyle likes all kinds of sports. He is a Cardinal fan.
  • Kyle Hord joined the group (May 7, 2009).  Kyle, a resident of Tennessee, joined the University of Louisville with a university scholarship.  He finished his Bachelor in 2008 and will continue his Master degree.  His research topic is low Reynolds number wing aerodynamics.
  • Matt Fuller joined the group (May 1, 2009).  Matt came to the University of Louisville  in 2005 after graduating from Hopkinsville High School (With Honors). He is also the recipient of Trustee's Presidential Scholarship at the University of Louisville.  He finished his undergraduate study in  2009.  He chose to study for his Master degree in the lab.  His research topic is flat back wind turbine.
  • Tim Broering joined the group (March 1, 2009). Tim received his Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Louisville.  A resident of Cincinnati, OH.  As an undergraduate, Tim earned top honors with a GPA of 3.97 and he also set a department record  (Verbal 670, Quantitative 800) on the GRE.
