Meet the Members of the Department of Sociology

Faculty collage The Department of Sociology currently has 13 full-time faculty who teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs and work with our graduate teaching assistants/fellows. We also have several adjunct faculty, all of whom are either alumni from our graduate programs or have been teaching for the department for many years.

In addition, two staff members provide administrative and technological support to the department, and, another, our Coordinator of Academic Services, serves as the advisor for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

We have several retired and emeritus professors, as well as numerous alum. Since 2014, 21 students have graduated from our PhD program in applied sociology and another student completed an interdisciplinary PhD in sociology and history.
