EVPRI INTERNAL RESEARCH GRANT PROGRAM
NOTICE: Future Deadlines: To Be Announced
The Office of the EVPRI will post the next deadline for the Internal Grants Program as soon as it has been determined. The Internal Grants Program (Transdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary Collaboration Research Planning Grant (TCRPG), Research I, Research II, and URG) aims to assist faculty in new highly productive research projects. All grant categories are open to full-time faculty.
Transdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary Collaboration Research Planning Grant (TCRPG): The primary purpose of this award is to provide funds for preliminary activities that will lead to the development and submission of a competitive research proposal to an external agency that provides full Facilities & Administrative recovery (indirect costs or overhead). The award will help applicants to develop well-conceived external applications utilizing approaches that are poised to begin promptly with little or no delay and achieve the intended milestones. The transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research planning grant activities should demonstrate how the proposed activities will enhance the probability of reaching definitive outcomes in a targeted, funded, external grant.
Research - RI Grant (MS Word): To assist faculty in the initiation of new research projects. In general, priority is given to new faculty, those entering new areas of research and scholarship, and others who have not previously received funding from the EVPRI Office. There is the expectation of significant scholarship. Funds cannot be used to support faculty salaries, but they can be used to support student stipends. Grants up to $3,000.
Research - RII Grant (MS Word): To assist faculty in the initiation of new research projects. In general, priority is given to new faculty, those entering new areas of research and scholarship, and others who have not previously received funding from the EVPRI Office. Funds cannot be used to support faculty salaries, but they can be used to support student stipends. At the end of the funding period, there is a requirement of the submission of an extramural grant application, preferably to an agency providing full or substantial F&A. Grants up to $10,000.
Undergraduate Research Grants - URG (MS Word): Grants to faculty who wish to design opportunities that will involve undergraduate students in research in collaboration with a faculty mentor. A student training plan must be submitted with the proposal. Grants up to $3000.
