Other Services
The UofL Genomics Facility provides gene expression, genotyping and DNA sequencing services. We also assist with real-time PCR and quantitative as well as qualitative nucleic acid analysis.
RNA Analysis
We offer access to the Nanodrop One and ABI Qubit for quantitative nucleic acid measurements and to Agilent’s BioAnalyzer 2100 for RNA quality assessment.
PCR
The Facility has an ABI ViiA-7 real-time PCR system, which can be used by our customers on request.
Ultrasonication
Our Covaris S220 focused ultrasonicator performs DNA, RNA and chromatin shering, tissue homogenization, cell lysis, etc. It is used only by Core staff but is available for customer samples.
Training
On request, we offer training in many areas of genomic research, including real-time PCR, Nanodrop, BioAnalyzer, RNA isolation, sample preparation for microarrays and NextGenSeq library preparations.
Data Mining
We offer free access to the latest versions of Metacore and Partek and will be able to assist with the use of either software.
