Level III Registration

The Research Resources Facilities (RRF) offers Level III training for Principal Investigators and laboratory personnel once a month with mice, as well as on an individualized basis. The training is intended to develop and/or hone techniques for new or established personnel at any level. The training is scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month at 1PM  in the Research Resources Center Vivarium (Bldg. 57) and lasts approximately 2hrs.  Participants should meet at the entrance of the Vivarium for escort.

Generalized Level III training consists of standard rodent techniques: appropriate animal handling and restraint, physical exam, blood collection (intravascular, vessel stick, terminal cardiac puncture), injection techniques (subcutaneous, intravascular, intraperitoneal, intramuscular), and euthanasia.

NOTE:

In an effort to provide maximal benefit and application of rodent methodology techniques the number of participant is limited to eight people. Therefore participants are required to complete a Reservation Request Form.  Be advised, classes fill up very quickly so PLEASE get your request form in as soon as you can.
