IdeaFestival provides excellent opportunity for students to engage in idea exchange
UofL is a presenting sponsor at IdeaFestival.
Critical thinking. Pushing the boundaries. Stepping out of the box. We use these phrases so frequently that we may not even think about what they mean. However, they are at the heart of education, innovation and solving some of the world’s critical problems.
UofL students, faculty and staff have an excellent opportunity to push boundaries, step out of the box and use critical thinking at IdeaFestival, a global idea exchange Sept. 13–15, here in Louisville.
IdeaFestival is intended to bring together diverse thinkers, not only to explore innovation and cutting-edge ideas across fields, but also to explore the strategic tools needed to implement ideas.
UofL is sponsoring Richard Kogan, a leading psychiatrist and classical pianist, who will present a session on composer Leonard Bernstein.
Session topics will include such areas as the arts, business, science, technology, spirituality, medicine, media and international affairs. Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, and science fiction novelist Ray Bradbury are two of the featured speakers.
Many IdeaFestival sessions are free, and UofL students, faculty and staff get discounts to sessions with admission charges. I encourage everyone at UofL to attend as many sessions as you can. (IdeaFestival | Registration information)
