Graduate Student Grants

Consistent with its overall mission and strategic goals, the Department of Political Science may support graduate student participation in conferences, language and technical training, and other important academic events or programs.

Students seeking such support should apply to the Department of Political Science Graduate Committee.  Individuals are eligible to be awarded only one grant each academic year.

Applications should be sent to Dr. Laura Moyer. No incomplete applications will be considered.

Students must include with their application of the following:

  • An application form that includes a brief explanation of the activity or project for which they are seeking support and a detailed budget.
  • An unofficial transcript.

Students must also obtain a recommendation from a member of the political science faculty

REQUIREMENTS:

Enrollment in the Political Science Master of Arts program
3.5 overall G.P.A.
Completed a minimum of nine credit hours in Political Science

REPORT:

Students will be required to write a brief report summarizing the results of the academic experience for which they have received support.  The report may be publicized within the university community.
