Literacy Support

To maximize the benefits of and to more fully prepare the students for science visualization experience, students at both levels were also engaged in extended literacy activities.

These activities focused on preparing students for the language demands (content and functional vocabulary) and the background knowledge demands (science ideas and applications) of the visualizations and were delivered in the form of pre- and post-visit instruction aligned with the district curricular maps and the planetarium experiences.
