Yellow (resident) parking areas are enforced 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
- Parking permits may be purchased on the Belknap Campus at the Parking Office located in the Floyd Street Parking Garage and at the Health Sciences Center Campus Parking Office located in the Chestnut Street Parking Garage. The permit application is also available on our webpage at www.louisville.edu/parking. A parking permit may not be issued to an individual who has unpaid parking citations.
- Green parking permits are available to faculty, staff, alumni and students with 90 or more academic credit hours. Purple parking permits are available to all members of the University community. Yellow parking permits are available to all students who live in a University of Louisville residence facility. Student residents who wish to purchase a yellow parking permit will be required to present proof of housing on campus and proof of ownership of a motor vehicle (registration, title or insurance card). Student residents will be permitted to purchase only one yellow parking permit. Failure to return key fob for A zone will result in a $20 fine and a financial hold will be placed on student account. Red and Blue parking permits are available to faculty and staff. Graduate assistants are eligible to purchase a blue permit with letter from department chair. HSC Chestnut Street Parking Garage permits (Magenta designation), and Jewish Hospital Parking Garage permits are available to faculty and staff. Students may purchase the garage permits if the Parking Office determines the supply is greater than the demand by faculty and staff. - University employees using their personal vehicle for on-campus University business should consult with the Parking Office staff to determine eligibility for loading zone permits.
