Citation Questions

Where may I pay a citation?

Parking citations with remittance may be mailed with the envelope provided, paid in person at either of the Parking Offices on Belknap and Health Sciences Center Campuses, or online via the University Parking website.

Why would I receive a citation for not hanging my permit when it is listed on my parking account?

According to the Parking Rules & Regulations, anyone parking on university property not parked at a meter or in an hourly pay parking lot, must display a valid University of Louisville Permit. In order to ensure a permit is valid, the numbers must be visible from outside the vehicle. It is the owner's responsibility to properly display the permit. Permits are transferable from vehicle to vehicle. The Parking Office will excuse one citation for this violation for each permit holder per academic year if the vehicle was parked legally and the permit was not displayed.

How do I appeal a citation?

Citations may be appealed within 7 days from the issue date.  Citations may be appeal online or via a paper form in either parking office.
